Glacier Bay September 16, 2008	calving glacier
In Glacier Bay National Park we picked up two National Park Rangers who told us about the park and the glaciers. We sailed through the park passing Lamplugh, John Hopkins and Margerie Glaciers. We were even fortunate enough to see and hear the crack and roar of the calving of the glaciers.
Our visit to the Mendenhall Glacier included much rain and fog. The glacier is actually in the background of this picture but very hard to see. September 17, 2008	Lunch at the Red Dog saloon in Juneau, AK

We walked out to Sitka National Historical Park to see the wonderful collection of Totem Poles gathered there. September 18, 2008
September 19, 2008 We visited Ketchikan and the Creek Street shops built on piers.

Then walked to the Totem Heritage Center where totems are being collected and preserved. Next door was The Deer Mountain Tribal Hatchery and Eagle Center with it's photogenic rehabilitating eagles and an interesting tour of the fish hatchery. Salmon were jumping in the creek next to the pathway back to town. September 19, 2008
