Books of the Month: April 4-May 1
Fiction
The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah Five Stars
I absolutely loved this newest book by Kristin Hannah. I learned more about this era of history--the Dust Bowl and how it affected people during the Great Depression--and would compare its themes to those of The Grapes of Wrath . Hannah also builds on the relevancy of what our world is experiencing currently with a worldwide pandemic, discrimination, and political ideology. You will not be able to put this one down.
The Body in the Castle Well by Martin Walker Four Stars
I enjoyed listening to this Audible version, although it was not the best of the Bruno books in my opinion. But, I will keep reading for the additional aspects of learning history, French culture, and a Bassett Hounds adventures.
What the Devil Knows by C. S. Harris Five Stars
This much-anticipated new release did not disappoint. I won't say anymore so as not to ruin the ending.
Poetry
I highly encourage my readership to enjoy the collections of the featured poets this month.
