Books of the Month: November 8-December 6
November was a slow reading month for me, partly because I released a new book of my own. I also switched up how and in what format I was reading. I used my Audible books while walking the dogs or cleaning and less when doing my knitting or art journaling. I read a paperback when taking my daily bath. We have only one functional shower right now, and I figured I would make the "sacrifice" of using the soaker tub. I read my Kindle before bed, which is normal practice. But, I'm not reading for a specific purpose as my in-person book clubs are paused during the stay-at-home orders. Deadlines are motivating for me, so without one, I simply read for pleasure. Which often means there is slower progress. (Note: Follow the links to see what I read or am almost finished reading this month.)
What I did accomplish this month was the completion of my biblical study schedule. I completed Messiah in the Immerse Bible series. I think this is the first time I have read consistently through the entire Bible in a year. I highly recommend this reading format and schedule for a read-through program. I also finished the last of the companion studies I have been doing that have some reference to the word treasure. Kelly Minter's All Things New , focused on the 2 Corinthians, was the perfect culmination of my One Word study this year. It also gave me insight into my next word for the coming year.
With that, I encourage you to continue reading--whether for purpose or pleasure--throughout the month of December.
