Five Stars

As a life-long fan of the Little House series, I enjoyed listening to the Audible version of this fictional account written from Caroline Ingalls' point of view. This novel begins at the end of Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House in the Big Woods, spans the Little House on the Prairie time period, and ends with the Ingalls family heading toward their Plum Creek homestead. Readers of the original series will note similarities in dialogue and accounts. But, there are new details woven in from other sources, including the recent Pioneer Girl publication, as well as the author's own conjecture. I highly recommend reading or listening to this book if you are an admirer of this American family.
