What makes me marvel may surprise most people. It isn't typical.

It isn't the magnificent structures made by humans. It isn't necessarily natural nuances. Those things are marvelous. But, that is not what makes me marvel.

Words marvel me.

But, not just any words.

The words spoken by my son with ASD marvel me.

Especially the new ones.

Especially the multi-syllabic ones.

Especially the ones spoken from natural nuances.

Because I remember when I didn't hear that particular word.

I remember it like it was yesterday.

Because it was yesterday.

The words spoken by God's Son marvel me.

Especially the old ones made new.

Especially the multiple-instance ones.

Especially the ones spoken beyond natural nuances.

Because I remember when I first heard that particular word.

I remember like it was yesterday.

Because it was yesterday.

And then again today.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12 NIV
